Eye Movement Integration

Eye Movement Integration (EMI) is a therapeutic technique that makes use of free associations accompanied by eye movements.  In contrast to the better known EMDR, in EMI we use a variety of different eye movements, which are performed in a slow and meditative manner while focusing on the issue at hand.  This allows the mind to slow down and experience a problematic topic in a new way, which tends to result in finding new and more adaptive approaches to troublesome issues.

EMI can be used for a wide variety of issues, from working through traumatic events to finding a way to make a difficult decision, and it can be combined seamlessly with other therapeutic techniques.
